Shikhar Dhawan scored his second century in IPL 2020 against Kings XI Punjab in Dubai on Tuesday. He scored his first in Delhi’s last game against Chennai Super Kings in Sharjah in match 34 of the season. He got to his feat in 57 deliveries as he looked in complete control of his innings. He thus becomes the first batsman to score back to back centuries in the IPL over the course of its 13 seasons. During his knock, he also went past 5000 IPL runs and joined an elite list of players including Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina and Rohit Sharma.
He hit 12 fours and three sixes in his flawless knock. He ended on an unbeaten 106 as the rest of the batsman struggled to score runs. Delhi scored 164-5 in their 20 overs. Mohammed Shami with 2 for 28 was the most economical bowler for KXIP. Punjab now needs 165 to win their fourth game of IPL 2020. Delhi Capitals currently tops the points table with 14 points from 10 games.
He did most of the scoring for Delhi in the first innings with wickets falling at the other end. Dhawan was particularly aggressive against the Punjab spinners sweeping them all-round the park. Also, he ran between the wickets to good effect, which proves how fit he is as a player.

One of the reasons you always stay with Shikhar Dhawan, especially in white ball cricket, is that when he gets on a roll, he is unstoppable. And a genuine match winner.

Back to back centuries is a big deal, kudos @SDhawan25. Punjab though have done well to stem runs from other side end. At one stage seemed might chase close to 200
