Twitterati Team India registered a thrilling win over Bangladesh by three wickets in the second and final Test of the two-match Test series on Sunday (December 25) in Dhaka. The visitors chased down the target of 145 runs in the first session of the fourth day’s play as well. However, after losing night watchman Jaydev Unadkat (13), wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant (9), and Axar Patel (34) very early, Shreyas Iyer and Ravichandran Ashwin’s unbeaten partnership of 71 runs for the eighth wicket helped India win and keep their dominance on in the longer format of the game as well.
However, India has never lost a Test match to Bangladesh in the last 22 years. With the win over Bangladesh in the second match, Team India also won the two-match Test series by 2-0. For India, R Ashwin top-scored in the second innings. He scored an important 42 runs from a total of 62 deliveries as well. During his time in the middle, he hit four boundaries and a six. He sealed the deal with a four on the last ball of the 47th over of the innings as well off Mehidy Hasan Miraz, who was the chief destructor with a spell of 5/63. However, he gave away 16 runs in the 47th over that helping India win as well.
