Arjun Tendulkar, the son of batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar, registered his best T20 bowling figures during the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy T20s for Goa against Hyderabad in Jaipur on Friday, October 14.

Arjun, who shifted his base from Mumbai to Goa in domestic cricket ahead of the season, dismissed four of the top Hyderabad batters as Hyderabad scored 177 for six batting first in the third match of the league stage as well.

The 23-year-old pace bowler, who picked up 2/20 in his previous match, opened the bowling for Goa and gave away only one run in the first over. He followed it up with a wicket-maiden in the third over.

Arjun Tendulkar returned in the death overs and claimed two more wickets before finishing his spell with the dismissal of Tilak Varma, who scored a fifty, in his final over. However, his final figures are – 4-1-10-4. Notably, Goa is placed second in Group B with two wins in as many matches so far as well.

Twitterati reacted to the spell on Arjun Tendulkar:

Goa go down fighting against Hyderabad

As far as the game is concerned, Arjun Tendulkar’s 4 for 10 from his four overs went in vain as Hyderabad registered a 37-run victory over Goa. The fifties from Tilak Varma and Tanmay Agarwal helped Hyderabad to post a decent total of 177/6 in their allotted overs.

In reply, Goa could only manage 140 as Ravi Teja’s 4 for 20 helped Hyderabad to seal the deal with ease as well. Aditya Kaushik top-scored with 33 off 22 with 4 sixes.

However, Goa will next play against Punjab at Jaipuria Vidyalaya Ground in Jaipur on Sunday, October 16. On the other hand, Hyderabad will take on Tripura at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on the same day as well.
