Currently, MS Dhoni is on vacation as India are playing tests against Sri Lanka. He will return for ODI and T20I series which starts on December 10.

He is spending his off time exploring Kashmir. Recently, MS Dhoni gave a surprise visit to a school in Srinagar and interacted with the kids. The official Twitter account of the Chinar Corps of the army tweeted that Dhoni talked about the importance of sports and studies to the students of Army Public School, Srinagar.

He also gave a surprise visit to budding and talented cricketers in Uri, interacted with them and talked about the importance of fitness and gave valuable insights on the game to the cricketers. We all know how much Dhoni loves the army. He once said that he would like to join the army after retirement from cricket. Dhoni holds honorary rank of Lt. Col.

He also attended as a chief guest in the local cricketer tournament organized by the Indian Army at North East naming ”Chinar Cricket Premier League.” We are used to seeing the crowd getting ecstatic and erupt in joy wherever MSD goes. But in Kashmir, the scene was quite different. Few Kashmiri supporters started chanting “Boom boom Afridi!” just to intimidate Dhoni. Dhoni is quite used to such things and he just ignored.

MS Dhoni voiced his opinion about India-Pakistan bilateral cricket ties. Speaking to ANI he said ”When we talk about cricket, in most people’s opinion it is a sport, but when it comes to India and Pakistan series, it is much more than that. It is also a diplomatic and political decision.”

“Saying that it is just cricket is wrong, as it also has an impact on the Indian economy. So, coming to a conclusion on India-Pakistan series is a big decision which should be left to the government,” he further added.
