After a rain-affected T20I series, the focus now shifts towards a month-long four-match test series. India will face a depleted Australian side at their home from December 6. The side is currently playing a practice game against CA XI, at the Sydney Cricket Ground, to make themselves adaptable to the conditions in the longest format of the game.

Prithvi Shaw, the under – 19  World Cup winning captain is having a great time in the middle in 2018. After making his test debut against Windies a month ago, he received a call for his maiden overseas outing for the Australian series. The youngster was given an opportunity as he ended up bagging Man of the series in his maiden series.

Though certain critics and experts felt sceptical about his performance in overseas pitches, Prithvi batted with ease showing no signs of fear.

The first test will be played at Adelaide (December 6). Memories still remain fresh in the minds of Indian fans when they lost a close battle by a margin of 48 runs despite twin centuries from skipper Virat Kohli in 2014-15. All eyes will be on the top-ranked test side, who are still looking for a victory at Australia since 2011-15 series.
