India were totally outplayed in all departments of the game in the final by Pakistan. Right after Fakhar Zaman got a reprieve early in the innings when he edged the ball to Dhoni only to see Bumrah overstep, there was no moment after that when India were ahead in the game.

Not many would have given Pakistan a chance after their crushing loss to India in the first game at Edgbaston. They have shown immense character to turn the things around. Pakistan became the fourth team after India, Sri Lanka and West Indies to hold 50 over world cup, T20 WC as well as ICC Champions Trophy.

The final was not just a game of cricket. It was more a battle for fans of the two countries. They leave no opportunity to troll each on social media. Amidst of these immense tension between the two sides, its the players who don”t get involved into such fights and respect the beautiful game of cricket.

At the end of the game Indian players congratulate Pakistan on their victory as well as they were seen having a laugh with each other. This shows both have mutual respect for each other.

In a pic posted by ICC, Pakistan bowling coach Azhar Mahmood was seen having a laugh with Shoaib Malik and Virat Kohli. It truly defines the spirit of the game.

India play a short 5 match ODI series and one-off T20I in the Caribbean while Pakistan don”t have a cricketing assignment in near future after the cancellation of Bangladesh tour which was supposed to take place in July. Their next series could be a tour to New Zealand in November as per reports.
