Schedule of knockout matches Vijay Hazare Trophy 2023 announced

The group stages match of the premier domestic tournament Vijay Hazare Trophy 2023/24 ended on 5th December 2023. It was played across six venues including Bengaluru, Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Ranchi, and Ahmedabad. The tournament had 38 teams across five groups.

The top team in each group qualified for the quarterfinals directly. Kerala and Mumbai had 20 points but due to a higher run rate, Kerala finished at the top of Group A. Mumbai lost to Tripura and Odisha. Mumbai progressed into the Premlinary quarterfinals.

Group B saw Vidarbha, Maharashtra, and Services with same number of points. Vidarbha will qualify for the quarterfinals directly while Maharashtra make it into the Premlinary quarterfinals.

Haryana and Karanakta had the same number of points but due to a higher run rate, Karnataka finished at the top of Group C.

Rajasthan ended the league stage at the top of the points table with 6 out of 6 wins in Group D. Gujarat defeated Himachal Pradesh with an eight-run victory and piped out Uttar Pradesh from the knockout stage.

Tamil Nadu finished at the top of Group E with 20 points. They will qualify for the quarterfinals directly. Bengal will qualify for the Premlinary quarterfinals.

Schedule of Knockout matches of Vijay Hazare Trophy 2023:

Premlinary Quarterfinals 1- Bengal vs Gujarat (SCA Cricket Association Stadium, Rajkot)- 9th December 2023

Preliminary Quarterfinal 2- Kerala vs Maharashtra (SCA Cricket Association Stadium C, Rajkot)- 9th December 2023.

Quarterfinals lineup

  1. Haryana vs the winner of PQF1 (SCA Cricket Association Stadium, Rajkot)- 11th December
  2. Rajasthan vs the winner of PQF2 (SCA Cricket Association Stadium C, Rajkot)- 11th December
  3. Vidarbha vs Karanakta (Sanosara Cricket Ground A, Rajkot)- 11th December
  4. Mumbai vs Tamil Nadu (Sanosara Cricket Ground B, Rajkot)- 11th December

After the four quarterfinals, the top four will qualify for the semi-finals to be played on 13th December.

The finals will be played on 16th December at Saurashtra Cricket Ground, Rajkot. It promises to be an exciting knockout stage as all teams would be looking to prove their worth and help their state win the trophy.
