Former Pakistan speedster Shoaib Akhtar is one of the most vocal cricketers on social media. He doesn’t like to mince from calling a spade a spade; thus, doesn’t have a lot of friends. However, Shoaib Akhtar believes he would have been best of friends with India skipper Virat Kohli.

The cricketer from Delhi is one of the most aggressive cricketers on the planet at present. he likes to keep his emotions on his sleeves and doesn’t shy away from engaging with his opponent in the cricket field. Shoaib Akhtar, who was also aggressive during his playing days just like his raw pace admitted that he would have great friends with Virat Kohli. The Rawalpindi Express was talking in an ESPNCricinfo video podcast to Sanjay Manjrekar.

“Virat Kohli and I would have been the best of friends. We both are Punjabi, we both have quite a similar nature. He seems like he has a lot of heart, and even though, he’s a lot junior to me, I really respect him,” Akhtar said.

Despite being best of friends off the field, Shoaib Akhtar admitted that both of them would have been the worst enemies on the cricket field.
