IPL 2020: Virat Kohli Yet To Deliver His Best This Season – Ajit Agarkar

If there is one thing that has looked off about this IPL then that has to be Virat Kohli’s batting. He hasn’t been at his personal in this season as former India cricketer Ajit Agarkar also feels we’re yet to see the best of Virat Kohli in this season. This comes out as a surprise to many of us as Virat Kohli has had fine runs for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the past.

No one will ever forget the 2016 season of the IPL where Kohli notched up over 900 runs which included four hundred. But as far as this season is concerned Kohli has failed to notch up that one big score in this season so far. He’s been getting out to spinners on a consistent basis whether it is Shreyas Gopal or Rahul Chahar, he has been a victim for the spinners.

Virat Kohli Yet To Deliver His Best This Season: Ajit Agarkar

Ajit Agarkar while talking to ESPNcricinfo in their show said that expectations are always high from a player like Kohli on top of that he must be disappointed with his performance against Mumbai Indians. He should’ve notched up a big score as the situation for tailor-made for him.

“Expectations are always high from Virat Kohli. He must be disappointed by his performance against Mumbai Indians. It was a big game, and he had gone to bat at a good position, but he was unable to find his rhythm,” Ajit Agarkar said.

He further said we haven’t seen the best of Kohli in this tournament. Kohli has managed to score runs but he hasn’t delivered his personal best so far in the season.

“We have not seen the best of Virat Kohli in this tournament yet. And this is a good thing for RCB that he has scored runs, but his best is yet to come, and still, they are at 14 points,” he added.
