Virat Kohli hasn’t been at his best in the field during the T20I series against Australia. The Indian captain has so far dropped two straightforward catches which have left everyone at a loss of words. During the second T20I at SCG, Kohli off the bowling of Washington Sundar again dropped a sitter. However, Kohli was smart enough to realise that there was a miss-communication between Wade and Smith and took full advantage of it.

After dropping the catch Kohli quickly threw the ball to wicket-keeper KL Rahul and produced a run out of Matthew Wade. The video of Kohli’s interesting piece of fielding went viral on Twitter and even England Fast bowler Stuart Broad saw the funny side to it. The goof-up of Kohli reminded Broad of his own where he too dropped a simple catch but still managed to run out the batsman.

Stuart Broad gives hilarious reaction to Virat Kohli’s drop catch

Earlier this year during the Test match between Pakistan and England, Broad dropped a catch off the bowling of his good mate James Anderson. Broad was fielding at mid-on but couldn’t hold on to a regulation catch when Azhar Ali chipped it straight to him. Much like Virat Kohli, Broad redeemed himself and executed a freakish run-out.

Stuart Broad even tagged Anderson on Twitter and asked him “Remind you of anything?”, while resharing Kohli’s fielding effort.

Meanwhile, when Stuart Broad dropped the catch Anderson was in sheer disbelief and looked upset as he was at 599 Test wickets. The two fast bowlers who are very good friends stayed away from each for quite some time during the Test which amused everyone.

Coming back to the second T20I between India and Australia, the wicket of Matthew Wade was extremely crucial for the visitors. Eventually, India ended up chasing a huge total of 195 runs and won the T20I series. The final T20I of the series will again be played at the SCG today from 1:40 pm onwards.
