Recently, Rahul shared a picture of him having a cup of coffee which invited a lot of trolls including a hilarious one-liner from Virat Kohli.

Meanwhile, Rahul has a past connection with coffee. His appearance on the Koffee with Karan talk show had the batsman and his teammate Hardik Pandya in trouble. They received severe criticisms for some sexist remarks made on the show.

While KL Rahul has moved on from that but it continues to haunt him. There were quite a few reactions by netizens on Twitter following his latest picture. The cricketer from Karnataka recently shared a picture of him drinking a cup of coffee.

“Coffee >>,” Rahul captioned the image. 

As soon as the image surfaced on the internet, the comments section was flooded with trolls. However, India skipper Virat Kohli tried to pull the leg of KL Rahul in his quirky manner.

“Cup ganda hai,” Kohli poked fun at KL Rahul.

Rahul has had an inspiring turnaround for himself in the last one year. After the Koffee with Karan episode, the exciting talent lost his touch and had to sit out of the side. But since the World Cup, KL Rahul has witnessed a steep rise in his graph showing consistency in the limited-overs.

Besides showcasing his skills with the willow, Rahul has emerged as the first-choice wicket-keeper batsman in the limited-overs. Ever since he replaced Rishabh Pant against Australia, Rahul has cemented his berth with consistency. Rahul scored 204 runs including a century in the three-match ODI series in New Zealand. In the five T20Is, the right-hander amassed 224 runs.
