Bollywood, in recent times, has got a couple of biopics on cricketers. From MS Dhoni to Sachin Tendulkar to Mohammad Azharuddin, it has been well received by the fans. Recently, fast bowler, Bhuvneshwar Kumar admitted that he wants Rajkumar Rao to play his character if his biopic happens ever.

Hailing from Meerut, Bhuvneshwar had a rollercoaster ride so far. He had to endure a lot of struggle to reach where he is today. His journey makes a perfect plot for a movie which has the potential to be a blockbuster.

When asked about the actor which he would choose to play his role in his biopic, Bhuvneshwar took Rajkumar Rao’s name. The young actor has carved a niche for himself with his acting skills and has given a number of blockbusters.

“Once somebody suggested that Rajkummar Rao has a lot of similarities with me in terms of physical appearance. So he could play my role in my biopic,” said Bhuvneshwar in a webinar organised by GainAccess Sports & Entertainment and SportzPower.

Meanwhile, currently, Bhuvneshwar Kumar is at his home in Meerut owing to the lockdown due to COVID-19 pandemic. The fast bowler revealed that this break has provided him with the opportunity to think about the future. Bhuvneshwar admitted that he wants to open an academy in his home town and give something back to the sport.

“I want to open an academy in Meerut because it has given me so much. I just want to give it back to the people over there. That is something I am going to do for sure,” he added. 

Bhuvneshwar Kumar has struggled with injuries in the recent past. He made a return during the series against South Africa which was called off amid COVID-19 outbreak. The veteran fast bowler is now eagerly waiting to embrace the national jersey and return to the field.
