Virat Kohli and his side will step on the field extremely high on confidence after they comprehensively defeated England in the last two Tests. A lot has been said about the pitch but every Indian player is not at all bothered by the outside noise and are only focused on the last Test.

Kohli pointed out that India lost within 3 days in New Zealand but then nobody came forward and criticised the pitch. The team India captain added that his side is only focusing on their strength and are not concerned about the pitches.
“We lost in New Zealand inside 3 days but no one said anything about the pitch – Our strength is to focus on our team, not the pitch”, Kohli said in a virtual press conference.

Meanwhile, Kohli also hinted that there might not be many changes in the side apart from Jasprit Bumrah who has been released from the squad. Talking about his own batting form, Kohli stated that he is not concerned about scoring centuries. The Indian skipper highlighted the fact that his only aim remains to win matches as captain, contribute with the bat in whatever way possible and milestones are just secondary.
“My focus is to win matches for India, doing the responsibility as a batsman and captain for the side, if milestones happen then it will be great”, Kohli said.
