Virat Kohli, a pillar of Team India, recently expressed his excitement for the World Test Championship (WTC) 2023 championship match against Australia. He will don the Indian cricket team’s white jersey after spending two months playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the IPL.

With 639 runs across 14 matches and an average of 53 points, Kohli had a very successful season in the IPL, which included two incredible centuries. RCB missed out on the playoffs despite his and Faf du Plessis’ success in the top order.

In order to start preparing for the upcoming Test match against Australia, the first group of Indian players, whose IPL teams’ campaigns ended in the group stage, have already arrived in England. They include players like Virat Kohli, Mohammed Siraj, Umesh Yadav, Shardul Thakur, Axar Patel, and a few others.

On Saturday, Virat Kohli used his official Twitter account to express his excitement for the upcoming game by posting a few images. He wrote as the post’s caption: “The whites”

Rohit Sharma on India’s journey to the WTC 2023 final: “All the work you put in over the last two years has finally come to the fore. “Before the WTC 2023 championship game, Rohit Sharma discussed his Test team’s journey in a video that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) released. He discussed their consistent play over the previous two years, which led to their qualification for the summit match.

Rohit further says “It feels really good to be standing here and know that we have advanced to the finals because all of your efforts over the past two years have now paid off. The work is obviously not finished; we still need to go out and obtain the best outcome possible for us in the end. “

He continued: “After the WTC final in Southampton, we had to quickly reorganize and get ready for the following cycle. We played some really tough cricket during that cycle, in my opinion. We faced numerous challenges, and I believed that everyone—not just a select few people—would need to exhibit strong character to overcome them. “

At the beginning of the year, in February, India and Australia played a four-match Test series. The team led by Rohit Sharma won the home series 2-1.
