In the last decade, India skipper Virat Kohli has played many match-winning knocks for his country. He has literally made chasing runs look like a cakewalk taking his side over the rope on most occasion. Recently, Virat Kohli revealed one innings that was a game-changer in his international career.

Currently, Kohli is widely regarded as the best batsman. He has already 70 international centuries to his name and is closing on Sachin Tendulkar’s record of 100 international centuries. Moreover, Virat Kohli is just six short of Little Master’s 49 ODI tons – the most by any cricketer.

The 31-year-old is likely to go past Tendulkar along with breaking many other records. He is also the only batsman at present to average over 50 in all the three formats. Recently, Virat Kohli during a conversation with Ravichandran Ashwin picked his superb knock in the 2012 Asia Cup as the game-changer of his career.

“I fondly remember that game. The whole country watches India versus Pakistan games, so if you perform in them suddenly everyone takes notice. It turned out to be a game-changer for my career,” said Virat Kohli.

That superb 183-run innings against the arch-rivals remains Virat Kohli’s highest score in the one-dayers. It h helped India chase down a mammoth target of 330 runs set by Pakistan in the inter-continent tournament.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli didn’t had a great start to 2020 on a personal front. He looked out of socks against New Zealand scoring only one fifty in 11 innings. He will be desperate to get onto the field and resume his routine once the lockdown due to the pandemic gets over. Currently, BCCI is planning out how to resume training in a bid to get back to international cricket.
