Team India registered a thumping 6-wicket win over Australia in the 2nd Test match played at Arun Jaitley Stadium, New Delhi on 19 February 2023. Meanwhile, former Indian captain Virat Kohli made headlines with his epic reaction to his food parcel delivery.

In the game, he was dismissed in a controversial manner against debutant Matt Kuhemann. He went to the dressing room and looked distraught while watching the replay. He saw that the food was delivered and that the food is ready. Kohli and Dravid were involved in a discussion but there was a visible change in mood when Kohli was told that food was ready to be served.

The fans on social media that the famous North Indian dish Chole Bhature was on the menu. Virat Kohli looked impressive in the first innings with a well-made 44 before he left furious given out in a controversial manner. However, Team India head coach Rahul Dravid later confirmed the food.

“It wasn’t Chole Bhature, it was Kulcha Chole” – he said after India’s win.

India retains the Border Gavaskar Trophy

The Indian Cricket Team retained the Border Gavaskar series with a resounding 6 wicket at New Delhi. It was a terrific performance by the spin twin of India as Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin created havoc keeping the pressure on the Australian brittle batting lineup. Ravindra Jadeja was the pick of bowlers with 7 wickets for 42 to bowl out visitors for just 113 runs in 2nd innings.

Australia looked in a decent position at the end of 2nd day with the scoreboard reading 61 for 1 with a lead of 62 runs. Ashwin started the procession by picking the wicket of Travis Head in the first over.

In reply, India did not begin well losing an early wicket of KL Rahul. Rohit Sharma played with intent putting pressure on the Australian bowling before being involved in a mix-up. Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer did not contribute much. Cheteshwar Pujara playing his 100th Test looked impressive hitting the winning runs. KS Bharat looked impressive with some lovely shots.

It was a superb effort by the Indian team with Axar Patel and R Ashwin putting on 114 runs for the 8th wicket to help them to reduce the deficit to just 1 run. The spin duo of Axar and Ashwin created havoc among the Australian batting line-up on day 3 skittling them out for just 113.
