Team India skipper Rohit Sharma looked in great touch against Australia in the last innings of the second Test on Sunday, February 19 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. He adopted the positive approach, taking on the bowlers, and chasing a low and tricky score of 115 runs. However, a terrible mix-up between the skipper and Cheteshwar Pujara, resulted in the former walking back to the hut disappointed.

Rohit Sharma opened the innings with KL Rahul, who got dismissed early in an unlucky fashion. The skipper slammed a boundary in the very first over, boosting the confidence. He capitalized on even the slightly bad deliveries, racing 31 runs with three boundaries and a six. However, his innings came to an end as he sacrificed his wicket, owing to a bad call, probably by himself, resulting in a horrible mix-up.

In the seventh over, Rohit Sharma nudged a tossed-up delivert in front of the square leg. He took off for the first run and then turned back for the second. Cheteshwar Pujara too came back for the second run, but Rohit Sharma stopped mid-way through the pitch and let Pujara cross him. The Indian skipper walked away with disappointment as Alex Carey whipped off the bails.
