Virat Kohli will play his 100th Test match at the PCA IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali on Friday against Sri Lanka. He will become the 12th Indian and the 71st cricketer in the world to have achieved this feat.

The right-handed batter joined the Indian camp on Sunday, after a brief break. He was given a bubble break following the second T20I against West Indies last month.

Gearing up for his milestone Test, Kohli hit the ground running, as he batted in the lights, followed by a light training session. Ahead of the series, Indian vice-captain for the Sri Lanka test series, Jasprit Bumrah spoke about Kohli’s milestone.

The 33-year old has been a pillar for India across formats at the International level. He is considered a modern-day great by the cricket pundits.  Virat Kohli received the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award, the highest sporting honor in India, in 2018.
