India captain Harmanpreet Kaur marked the Women in Blue’s historic World Cup 2025 victory with a meaningful new tattoo on her left bicep. The final, held on Sunday, November 2, at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, saw India produce a dominant display to beat South Africa by 52 runs after setting a total of 298. The triumph secured India’s maiden Women’s World Cup title.
On Wednesday, November 5, Harmanpreet took to Instagram to unveil her latest tattoo — a design featuring the World Cup trophy, the year “2025,” and the number “52,” symbolizing the winning margin. She accompanied the post with the caption:
“Forever etched in my skin and my heart. Waited for you since Day1 and now I will see you every morning and be grateful.”

“This Is Just the Beginning” – Harmanpreet Kaur On India’s Women’s World Cup 2025 Triumph
After India captured their first-ever World Cup title on November 2, captain Harmanpreet Kaur reflected on the historic achievement during the post-match presentation, stating [as quoted by ESPNcricinfo]:
“Every time, after every World Cup, we were always discussing crossing that line. In the last two years, Amol sir was with the team and he was always telling us to come up with something special, and to keep preparing for the big occasion. We should give credit to the support staff and the BCCI.”
“We did not make too many changes (to our squad), and they really invested in us, and because of everyone, we are standing here. This is the start. We wanted to break this barrier. And our next plan is to make this a habit. We were waiting for it. Now this moment has come. So many big occasions are coming, and we want to keep improving. This is not the end, just the beginning,” she added.
