Former India batsman and First-class cricket veteran Wasim Jaffer recently picked his best T20I XI in. ICC posted a tweet in which they asked the fans to pick their all-time T20I team. The fans had to pick only of a member from each nation take their best T20 side. Wasim Jaffer too joined in and names his T20 team with one member from each country.

Surprisingly Jaffer did not have any place for two current Indian batting stalwarts Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. Instead, the former Indian player opted to pick Jasprit Bumrah as the sole Indian in his squad. The Sunrisers skipper David Warner was named as the captain of the squad. Warner led his IPL team to glory in 2016 as Sunrisers Hyderabad became IPL champions. Warner has also won the orange cap for being the highest run-scorer most time in IPL with 3.

Jaffer picked the number 1 T20 batsman Babar Azam as the opening partner for Warner. Babar who is the only the second player to average 50 in T20 cricket has played an integral role in Pakistan’s success. As far as his middle order is concerned he went with New Zealand skipper at 3 and Mr. 360 AB de Villiers at 4.

England’s prolific wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler was his choice next who has been one of the leading white ballplayers in the world. Next in the line-up was the hard-hitting West Indies and KKR all-rounder Andre Russell. The other all-rounder included in his team was Bangladesh legend Shakib Al Hassan.

The spin duo of his team was Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan and Nepal’s Sandeep Lamichhane. Rashid Khan the number 1 T20 spinner, has put Afghanistan on the cricketing map with his match-winning T20 performances all over the world. The same can be said about Lamichanne who was brilliant in the Big Bash recently.

Jasprit Bumrah has picked 182 T20 wickets at an economy rate of just 7.07 in his career so far.

Unsurprisingly Jasprit Bumrah and Lasith Malinga were the two fast bowlers in his T20 squad. The two Mumbai Indians partners can bowl Yorkers at will and change the course of a T20 match in a matter of minutes. Malinga is the most successful T20 bowler of all time with 390 T20 wickets to his name. Bumrah, on the other hand, is another death over specialist himself and has become one of the finest bowlers in all formats in cricket today.
