Ace Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) all-rounder Andre Russell shared a heartwarming message for the fans ahead of their game against Rajasthan Royals (RR) later tonight. It is a must-win game for the Knight Riders to keep their hopes alive in the tournament.
Calling the remaining five games ‘five finals’, Russell shared a heartwarming message. He further appreciated them for supporting them throughout the tournament and called them ‘true fans’ for not giving up on the team during their bad times.
“It’s not the position that we really wanted to be in at this moment. I think you guys have been the loyal fans that any franchise would really want. And I think in times like these we all know who our fans are,” Andre Russell was heard saying in a video shared by the Kolkata franchise.

Andre Russell’s record in IPL 2022
The 34-year-old Jamaican all-rounder has had a decent campaign so far in the 15th edition of the cash-rich league. However, the KKR franchise has certainly not hit the straps this season, winning only three matches in nine appearances.
Russell has scored 227 runs at a strike rate of over 175, including the highest score of 70. With the ball, Andre Russell has scalped 10 wickets in nine matches with the best figures of 4/5 against Gujarat Titans.
The West Indian all-rounder will hope to continue the good run in the ongoing season to give Kolkata Knight Riders a good chance of making it to the playoffs. Currently, they are eighth in the IPL 2022 points table just above Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians.
