The IPL 2020 is virtually upon us and the franchises are fine-tuning their skills in the UAE ahead of the big season. After a long break from Cricket, players are slowly but surely getting into their grooves ahead of IPL 2020. Ravichandran Ashwin made a name for himself with his brilliant performances in the cash-rich T20 league.

This year the seasoned leg spinner will be making his IPL debut for the Delhi Capitals (DC). Ashwin never shies away from an experiment when the ball is in his hands. The 33-year-old has various tricks up his sleeves that he first unleashes on his teammates in the nets such as the carrom ball, the slider and leg spinners.

Recently Delhi Capitals posted a new video on their social media platforms, where Ashwin turned into a leg-spinner to Ajinkya Rahane. Ashwin gave a little glimpse of what fans can expect from him in this year’s IPL.

The off-spinner looked confident as he focused on surprising the batsman with his mystery spin by attempting a different action.

Meanwhile, Ravichandran Ashwin, who was the skipper of KXIP in the 2019 IPL season, was traded to Delhi Capitals earlier this year. The skilled spin bowler has scalped 125 wickets in his 139 IPL matches at an average of 26.5 and his economy rate has been mere 6.79 in his career so far.

Moreover the new acquisition of DC, Ashwin will play under the leadership of Shreyas Iyer. The Delhi Capitals franchise will be again aiming to win their first IPL title this year in the UAE. Last year DC qualified for the playoffs after 7 long years and eventually finished third in the previous IPL edition.

Delhi Capitals will begin their campaign on 20th September when they will take on the Kings XI Punjab at Dubai.
