[Watch]- Bhanuka Rajapaksa Loses His Wicket To A Trademark MS Dhoni Run-Out

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) are currently facing each other in Match 11 of IPL 2022. CSK skipper Ravindra Jadeja won the toss and elected to bowl first.

It was a great start for CSK. Young pacer Mukesh Choudhary dismissed PBKS’ skipper Mayank Agarwal on the second ball of the match. Mayank tried to hit a wideish ball over covers but ended up handing a simple catch to Robin Uthappa.

Sri Lankan batter Bhanuka Rajapaksa came in to bat at no.3. He hit a six off the first ball of the second over. On the second ball, he pushed the ball to the on-side. He was looking to steal a single. But after he came halfway down the pitch, non-striker Shikhar Dhawan denied the run.

Chris Jordan threw the ball to the wicket-keeper’s end. MS Dhoni ran, dived forward and rattled the stumps with an underarm throw. Rajapaksa departed after scoring 9 runs off 5 balls.

MS Dhoni is not finished – Mohammad Kaif 

MS Dhoni has had a great start to IPL 2022, with the bat. In the first game against KKR, he scored 50 unbeaten runs in 38 balls. His innings helped CSK post a respectable total of 131-5.

Against Lucknow Super Giants, he played a quick cameo of 16 runs off 6 deliveries. Former India cricketer Mohammad Kaif was impressed by MS Dhoni’s batting.

Kaif said on Sportskeeda:

“Dhoni is not finished, he is a finisher. People have said his time is over and this could be his last IPL, but look at how he has batted, remaining not-out in both innings. This year we might see the Dhoni that we knew who used to start hitting boundaries from ball one.”
