Rashid Khan Misses Run-Out Opportunity

Mumbai Indians are taking on the Gujarat Titans at the Brabourne Stadium in Match 51 of the Indian Premier League 2022 season. The Rohit Sharma-led team got off to a flying start in the powerplay.

Mumbai openers, Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma started off the proceedings. The skipper looked in fine touch, taking on the Gujarat Titans bowlers. Rohit quickly raced to 42 runs off 24 balls, with Ishan batting on 19 off 12, at the end of the powerplay. The Mumbai Indians had 63 runs on the board, with no loss.

In the seventh over, the Gujarat Titans missed out on an opportunity to run-out Ishan Kishan. Ishan Kishan hit the ball towards Rashid Khan and set off for a run. Rashid stopped the ball, however, could not throw it properly, as the throw landed just beside him.

He then got up and attempted a run-out at the non-striker’s end, but missed. Continuing the comedy of errors, the fielder backing up Rashid’s throw missed the ball. Meanwhile, the Mumbai Indians batters completed two runs. Gujarat Titans skipper Hardik Pandya and Rashid Khan were seen having a good laugh about the incident.
