[WATCH] Daryl Mitchell Spotted Riding Autorickshaw With Wife In Ahmedabad

Star New Zealand batter Daryl Mitchell was recently seen enjoying an autorickshaw ride with his wife, Amy Mitchell, in Ahmedabad. The 34-year-old last appeared in the Black Caps’ second T20 World Cup 2026 fixture against UAE on Tuesday, February 10, at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.

After choosing to bat first, UAE managed 173/6 in their allotted overs. In reply, New Zealand’s opening duo of Finn Allen (84* off 50) and Tim Seifert (89* off 42) stitched together a commanding 175-run stand off just 92 deliveries, sealing a comprehensive 10-wicket win for the Kiwis.

New Zealand are set to face South Africa national cricket team on Saturday, February 14, at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Ahead of the clash, Mitchell was spotted unwinding around the city, with a video capturing him taking a relaxed auto ride alongside his wife.

Daryl Mitchell Has Played Only Three T20Is Against South Africa

As New Zealand gear up to take on the South Africa national cricket team in their upcoming T20 World Cup 2026 clash, Daryl Mitchell has faced the Proteas in just three T20Is so far. In those appearances, the right-hander has accumulated 41 runs at an average of 41.00, striking at 120.58, with his highest score being an unbeaten 20.

In his overall T20I career, the 34-year-old has featured in 97 matches and batted in 86 innings, amassing 1,824 runs at an average of 27.63 and a strike rate of 141.72. His record includes eight half-centuries, with his best T20I knock, an unbeaten 72, coming against England cricket team in 2021.

He has also contributed with the ball, picking up nine wickets from 15 innings. Looking at his numbers across all international formats, Mitchell has played 191 matches and scored 6,689 runs at a healthy average of 41.29, registering 35 fifties and 14 centuries.
