Chennai Super Kings (CSK) thrashed Delhi Capitals (DC) by 91 runs at DY Patil Stadium in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Meanwhile, during the game, David Warner was seen fuming after his dismissal.

While chasing the mammoth target of 209 runs, the Capitals didn’t get a good start. KS Bharat was dismissed in the second over. Warner, who is in good touch, played a couple of shots and was looking confident to carry the team on his shoulders yet again.

However, Warner failed to do so today. He was dismissed on 19 runs while attempting a reverse sweep off Maheesh Theekshana. He missed the ball completely and the on-field umpire gave it LBW out. David Warner immediately asked for a review.

The replays showed that the ball was just clipping the off stump. However, Warner was livid with the on-field umpire’s decision as such close calls are rarely given against a batsman. The Aussie cricketer did not hold back in showing his disappointment.

David Warner walked past Nitin Menon and kept staring at him. He also gave a mouthful to the on-field umpire. The 35-year-old veteran opener also hit his bat on the ground in anger to show his disappointment.

Delhi Capitals (DC) never looked in line to chase down the mammoth total. Despite losing the openers early, skipper Rishabh Pant tried to play a couple of shots while Mitchell Marsh looked like finding some rhythm, but alas, it was a little too little.

None of their batsmen lasted more than 20 balls, and that’s a good enough summary of what this chase was. Moeen Ali was the real difference in the middle overs, he was unafraid to loop the ball up, deceiving batsmen in flight, and breaking the back of the middle-order.
