The first match of the seventh week of IPL 2022 will see two great teams Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Mumbai Indians (MI) lock horns at the DY Patil Sports Academy. Both teams occupy the bottom two places in the points table and will hope to improve their position.
Kolkata are having another mixed bag of a season as they got wins on the trot at the start but lost five consecutive games after that. They have not got their opening combination, trying as many as five options and all failed to put up a single 50+ runs stand.

MI have since then won two games on the trot and would be hoping to get a hat-trick of wins on Monday against KKR. Despite the wins, Kieron Pollard’s below-par returns will have the management on their toes as they look to build a squad for the next season.
