[WATCH] Dewald Brevis’ Stunning Fielding Effort Steals The Spotlight In NZ vs SA T20 World Cup 2026 Clash

South Africa and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batter Dewald Brevis came close to producing a spectacular catch near the ropes during the T20 World Cup 2026 clash against New Zealand on Saturday in Ahmedabad. In a clip shared by Star Sports, Brevis was seen diving in an attempt to stop the ball, but it made contact with the boundary cushion.

The incident unfolded in the ninth over bowled by left-arm spinner Keshav Maharaj. After Maharaj delivered a short ball, Devon Conway quickly rocked back and pulled it towards deep mid-wicket. Brevis sprinted across to cover the distance and tried to complete the catch, but failed to latch on as the ball raced away to the fence.
