Arch-rivals Mumbai Indians (MI) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are currently facing each other in Match 33 of IPL 2022. Ahead of the match, West Indian teammates Dwayne Bravo and Kieron Pollard shared a heartwarming moment that was caught on camera.

In the viral video, it can be seen that, as Pollard was going for his batting practice, Bravo showed up and touches his feet. The duo then hugged each other and shared a laugh. Both of them share a great admiration for each other and it was once again on display at the DY Patil Sports Academy.

The banter continued between Dwayne Bravo and Kieron Pollard during the match. During the 14th over of MI’s innings, Pollard went down the pitch and defended a ball from Bravo. The CSK pacer collected the ball and threw it above the head of the batter. Pollard in reply planted a kiss on Bravo’s head.

Interestingly, it was Dwayne Bravo who recommended Mumbai Indians to buy Pollard ahead of IPL 2010. Young Kieron Pollard had impressed everyone in the now-defunct Champions League T20 tournament in the 2009/10 season where the power hitter smashed 146 runs at a strike rate of 197.30. His performance helped Trinidad and Tobago reach the finals of the tournament.

Over the years, Pollard has become one of the main players of the franchise. He was retained for INR 6 crores ahead of IPL 2022 auctions. Meanwhile, Both Mumbai and Chennai have had disastrous starts in IPL 2022. While CSK has won 1 match out of 6, the five-time champions- MI are yet to open their account.
