South Africa have returned to the country after the three-match ODI series against Team India was called-off in the wake of the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic. However, the spirit in the team looked high going by the latest post by Cricket South Africa (CSA) on their official Instagram account.

The first ODI at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala was called off due to inclement weather. The next two games were scheduled to take place in Lucknow and Kolkata on March 15 and March 18 respectively. Both the teams had landed in Lucknow for the second game of the series before the BCCI decided to call off the series due to COVID-19.

However, BCCI and CSA have later announced that the series will take place at some point later. While there were no actions on the cricket field, the Proteas decided to keep themselves fit by doing some jogging inside the hotel.

As per the video posted by CSA on Instagram, the squad was divided into two teams for a running challenge. The likes of Lungi Ngidi, Andile Phehlukwayo, Rassie van der Dussen were in one team while Faf du Plessis and some of the players were in the other team. Towards the end of the video, one can see Faf du Plessis exposing his butt as he perhaps wanted to mock the other team.

Meanwhile, the Proteas cricketers who landed in the country has been asked to self-quarantine for the next 14 days after returning home from India. The players have been told to isolate themselves and will be tested for the deadly virus in case any symptoms show up.
