The left-handed all-rounder remained unbeaten on 61 from 181 deliveries, showing remarkable patience and resilience. Although India ultimately fell short, being bowled out for 170, Jadeja’s knock stood out for its grit and fighting spirit.

Assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate commended Ravindra Jadeja for his consistent batting performances over the past two Tests. He highlighted Jadeja’s strong form, noting his 72-run effort in the first innings of the third Test. In the previous match, Jadeja had also impressed with scores of 89 and an unbeaten 69 across both innings.
“His batting has just reached another level. The last two Tests, the consistency and calmness he’s brought to the change room in difficult situations,” he said.
Jadeja Enters Record Books With Streak Of Four Test Fifties
Ravindra Jadeja has etched his name in the history books by becoming just the third Indian batter to score four consecutive half-centuries in Test cricket. With fifties in each of the last two Tests, he joined the elite company of Rishabh Pant and Sourav Ganguly.
Jadeja also became only the second Indian to register twin fifties in a Test at Lord’s, matching Vinoo Mankad’s 1952 feat of 72 and 184 at the iconic venue. Moreover, Jadeja is now the first visiting player to record twin half-centuries in a Test match twice in England while batting at No.6 or lower.
Ravindra Jadeja became the first spinner to score 900+ runs and take 30 wickets in Tests in England. With 969 runs at 38.76 and 30 wickets, he is only the second overseas player after Sir Gary Sobers to achieve this rare double.
