[WATCH] Hasan Ali Imitates Abrar Ahmed’s Celebration After Dismissing Him in the PSL 2025 Match

Karachi Kings won their second match of the PSL 2025 season when they defeated Quetta Gladiators by 56 runs in Match 8 at the National Stadium in Karachi on Friday, April 18. The Kings, under the captaincy of David Warner, won the toss and set a commendable target of 175/7. Chasing the target, the Quetta Gladiators were restricted to just 119 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. The game will also be remembered for some brilliant individual performances, especially Hasan Ali, who was impressive with the ball.

Hasan became the leading wicket-taker in the history of the Pakistan Super League. He reached his 114th PSL wicket by dismissing Hasan Nawaz for just a run, thus overtaking the tally of Wahab Riaz, who has 113. He achieved this feat in just 83 innings, four fewer than Wahab, who took 87. The right-arm pacer now leads the all-time wicket-takers chart with 116 wickets in 84 innings.

Hasan Ali’s Historic Moment and Playful Celebration

Hasan’s dismissal of Abrar and subsequent mimicry of the young spinner’s signature head-nod celebration was the highlight of the match. Hasan’s full delivery struck Abrar’s leg stump after he missed a wild swing. The pacer turned around to face Abrar, yelling, “Oye,” and then did a cartoonish impersonation of Abrar’s famous head-tilting move.

He moved from side to side with gestures before hugging the young spinner as the two players smiled. This friendly jab went on to become a viral moment on social media, with the Pakistan Super League official account tweeting it from X with the caption, “Hasan Ali, out here sweeping wickets. Abrar has been clean bowled 🎳.”

A strong willow indeed confirmed the Karachi Kings’ winning ways. This team, under captain David Warner, has been in tremendous form throughout the PSL 2025 season, thereby aiding their rise after the win against Quetta Gladiators in the tournament.
