Watch – Heated Argument Breaks Out Between KL Rahul And South Africa Cricketers

Team India’s stand-in captain KL Rahul was seen getting involved in a heated argument with the South African players after his dismissal on day 2 of the Johannesburg Test. Meanwhile, India are currently on the driver’s seat with 58 runs lead under thier belt.

Rahul edged a delivery from Marco Jansen which was caught by Aiden Markram in the slips. While Markram was confident that he has cleanly taken the catch, it looked like the ball has kissed the ground before the South African player catched the ball. The umpires went to the TV umpire, however, the soft signal was ‘out’.

The replays showed that there was no conclusive evidence to rule out the decision; hence, KL Rahul was adjudged out. While he walking back to the dressing room, some Proteas cricketers hurled some words at the Indian batsmen who returned the favour.

Shardul Thakur’s seven-wicket haul derails South Africa

Shardul Thakur

Shardul’s seven-wicket haul was the highlight of the day as it helped India restrict the lead to 27 runs. He picked up wickets every time he was called on to bowl, and every time the game seemed to be slipping out.

Temba Bavuma and Kyle Verreynne had put the home side on course but they failed to capitalise on it and were bowled out for 229 runs.

In reply, India lost their openers KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal early, but Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane, who are playing to save their careers, produced an aggressive brand of cricket to end the day on a high.

The visitors are stationed at 85/2 at the end of day 2, with a second innings lead of 58 runs under their belt.
