[WATCH]- In The PSL, Pakistan Fans Taunt Shoaib Malik’s Third Wife, Sana Javed, Using ‘Sania Mirza’ Chants

Pakistan supporters mocked Shoaib Malik‘s third wife, Sana Javed, during the current Pakistan Super League (PSL) edition by using the name of his second wife, Sania Mirza. Sana, who was present at Multan Stadium to support her husband and the Karachi Kings team, faced the taunts from fans.

A video circulating on social media captured the moment when fans began chanting ‘Sania Mirza’ as Sana walked along the sidelines. Despite the teasing, she chose to ignore the comments and continued walking.

For those unfamiliar, Malik married Sana on January 20, sparking varied reactions on social media. The 42-year-old cricketer’s first marriage was with Ayesha Siddiqui in 2002, leading to divorce on April 7, 2010.

He subsequently married Indian tennis star Sania Mirza on April 12, 2010. Following a Khula initiated by Sania, Malik later married Sana. The couple shares a son named Izhaan Mirza Malik, born on October 30, 2018.

Multan Sultans defeated Karachi Kings by 55 runs despite Shoaib Malik’s half-century going unrewarded

Shoaib Malik’s fifty was futile as Multan Sultans secured a 55-run victory over Karachi Kings in the opening match of the PSL on Sunday, February 18.

In their initial innings, Multan posted a total of 185/2 within the allocated 20 overs. Reeza Hendricks was the standout performer, contributing 79 runs from 54 deliveries, featuring three sixes and seven boundaries.

Dawid Malan also played a significant role, scoring 52 runs off 41 balls, including one six and four boundaries. Mir Hamza and Daniel Sams managed to claim one wicket each for Karachi.

In reply, Shoaib Malik scored 53 runs off 35 balls, featuring two sixes and five boundaries, but couldn’t guide his team to victory. Captain Shan Masood and Kieron Pollard contributed with scores of 30 (31) and 28 (29), respectively.

Mohammad Ali was the standout bowler, taking 3/23, while David Willey and Abbas Afridi claimed two wickets each.

Malik, who has accumulated 13,159 runs in 494 innings, is currently pursuing Chris Gayle’s record of the most runs in T20s (14,562). His next match is against Peshawar Zalmi at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Wednesday, February 21.
