Team India are all set to play against New Zealand in a three-match T20I series. However, India will play under the leadership of Hardik Pandya in Wellington on Friday (November 18). Even, the players attended the first training session on Thursday (November 17) as well and the pictures of that were shared on the official Twitter handle of the BCCI as well.

Meanwhile, Team India won’t get the services of a number of senior players, including Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and KL Rahul as they have been rested, and in their absence, the youngsters like Washington Sundar, Shreyas Iyer, Umran Malik, Shubman Gill, and Ishan Kishan, along with others, have been picked as well.

However, before the start of the first T20I, Indian players were seen enjoying a beach day in Wellington. Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya, Umran Malik, Shreyas Iyer, Arshdeep Singh, and Washington Sundar showed off their abs by the sea in Wellington as well.

In a video posted by Washington from his Instagram account, they can be seen walking on the beach and he captioned the post: “Best Escape Anyone Can Have.” Moreover, the video had background music ‘Everybody’ by the Backstreet Boys.

 A cracking series is likely to take place in New Zealand

However, Washington Sundar last appeared for Team India in the third ODI of the three-match series against South Africa in Delhi on Tuesday (October 11), where he dismissed two Proteas batters for 15 runs in his four-over spell as well.

Meanwhile, after the first T20I in the tour of New Zealand on Friday (November 18), the second game will be shifted to Mount Maunganui on November 20 and the final one will take place in Napier on November 22.

However, after the end of the T20I series, Team India will also take part in a three-match ODI series, where senior opening batter Shikhar Dhawan will be there as well. The ODI matches will be played on November 25, 27, and 30 in Auckland, Hamilton, and Christchurch, respectively as well.
