The fans flocked to the stadiums to witness their idol play, as there were speculations about his retirement following this season.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s craze was also seen in Ahmedabad metro ahead of the 2023 Indian Premier League final against the Gujarat Titans. The fans chanted “Dhoni-Dhoni” on the metro train for the wicket-keeper batter. They were seen in yellow jerseys, probably heading towards the Narendra Modi Stadium for the finals.

Fans sleep at the railway station as the IPL final gets moved to reserve day

The 2023 Indian Premier League final between the Chennai Super Kings and the Gujarat Titans was moved to the reserve day as rain played spoilsport on Sunday, May 28 in Ahmedabad. The fans were disappointed as no play could take place. They faced several difficulties in the stadium, as well as with accommodation. Several fans slept at the Ahmedabad railway station.
