Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja pulled off a hilarious celebration in the umpire’s face after dismissing Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) batter Ayush Badoni during their IPL 2025 encounter on Monday, April 14, at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

The moment unfolded in the 14th over of the first innings when Jadeja trapped Badoni LBW. Although the on-field umpire raised his finger, Ayush Badoni successfully reviewed the decision using DRS, with a faint edge detected on the Snickometer before the ball struck the pads.

A few balls later, Ravindra Jadeja finally dismissed the LSG batter and marked the moment with a cheeky celebration—playfully facing the umpire and giving a high five to the camera mounted on his cap. You can watch the video here:

LSG posted 166/7 after being asked to bat, with Jadeja and Pathirana taking two wickets each for CSK. In the chase, Dhoni’s unbeaten 26 off 11 balls sealed the win after strong contributions from Dube, Ravindra, and Rasheed. Dhoni later shared his thoughts on the win at the post-match presentation.

“Overall, it was a tough game, but we were on the winning side and hopefully, we go on to win more. We bowled well in the power play. The middle overs went well too. I think we have done a decent job with the ball. But our batting needs to improve. Perhaps we have to start playing more on better wickets in Chennai, but even then, we have to make sure that we pick the right shots to play.”

“Our batting so far has fallen short. Bowling has been decent. This attack looks better. We have put some pressure on Ashwin along the way, but now, we can use Noor if need be to fill in if the pacers don’t bowl well. The batters have to take their roles well. We have not been able to do that properly.” added Dhoni.
