Watch: Jasprit Bumrah Castles Rassie Van Der Dussen & Keshav Maharaj To Hand India Advantage On Day 4

Dean Elgar and Rassie van der Dussen (11) added 40-run stand for the third wicket at Centurion on day 4. However, Jasprit Bumrah dismissed the right-hander just before the close of play to hand India a massive advantage at stumps. South Africa are chasing 305 to win in the second innings with the weather not looking very good on the fourth day.

Dussen and Elgar tired out the Indian bowlers in the final session of the day’s play. They kept the Indian bowlers honest and searching for wickets and it was Jasprit Bumrah who finally broke through.

Bumrah bowled the delivery outside off-stump which cut back after pitching to knock off Dussen’s off-stump. Sunil Gavaskar on commentary beautifully described how much the ball deviated off the pitch to take out the right-hander’s off-stump.

This is Bumrah’s first wicket of the second innings after he took a couple in the first innings.

Earlier in the day, India were bowled out for 174 in their second innings with Rishabh pant top-scoring (34). The middle-order of Kohli, Pujara and Rahane all got starts but failed to continue.

While it was Lungi Ngidi in the first innings, it was Kagiso Rabada and Marco Jansen sharing six wickets between themselves. Ngidi took two in the second innings.

Bumrah came back to dismiss Keshav Maharaj for 8 off 19 balls. He was sent in after Dussen’s dismissal to play the role of a nightwatchman. Maharaj was dismissed off the second last delivery of the day’s play as he was yorked by Bumrah.
