[WATCH]- Jasprit Bumrah’s Son Poses With Match Ball After Five-Wicket Haul

Sanjana Ganesan, wife of Team India pacer Jasprit Bumrah, posted a heartwarming picture of their son Angad holding the fifer match ball following the end of Day 3 (Sunday, June 22) of the first Test against England. The opening match of the five-Test series is taking place at Headingley Cricket Ground in Leeds.

Responding to India’s first-innings score of 471, England scored 465, with Ollie Pope making 106 and Harry Brook falling just short of a century with 99. Bumrah, despite three dropped catches and a no-ball overturning a wicket, delivered a stellar performance, finishing with 5/83—his 14th five-wicket haul in Test cricket.

After play wrapped up on Day 3, Sanjana took to Instagram Stories to share a photo of their son Angad — born in September 2023 — adorably posing with the match ball awarded for Bumrah’s five-wicket performance.

Ex-England Pacer Praises Bumrah’s Brilliant Spell In 1st Test

Former England pacer Steven Finn praised India’s star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah for his exceptional five-wicket haul on Day 3 of the first Test against England. Writing in his BBC Sport column, the 36-year-old highlighted Bumrah’s remarkable consistency and pinpoint accuracy, calling his performance nothing short of outstanding. Finn noted:

“He is like a computer constantly calibrating what is needed in any given situation, and he is able to implement almost exactly what he wants to with absolute precision. A batter could watch as many hours of Bumrah footage as they like, yet still be surprised when they face him.”

“There is no ‘tell’ as to what he going to bowl. No change of arm path, no change of finger position. A batter can only rely on reacting to what is coming their way.”

In just his 46th Test appearance, Jasprit Bumrah has claimed 210 wickets at an impressive average of 19.33 and a strikingly low strike rate of 41.8, which includes 14 five-wicket hauls.
