[WATCH] Jimmy Neesham Sends Alzarri Joseph With A One-handed Stunner

Joburg Super Kings and Pretoria Capitals met again on Wednesday, January 18, in the 13th match of the SA20 League, just one day after they met in the 11th game. The Super Kings won convincingly on Tuesday, but the Capitals came back stronger when the two teams met again, putting up a nightmare of a time ahead of the Super Kings.

The Pretoria Capitals had the game in hand from the start, but it was Jimmy Neesham’s brilliant catch that helped Anrich Nortje dismiss Alzarri Joseph in the 12th over of the first innings that drew everyone’s attention. Joseph sliced the ball towards the backward point, but Neesham dived brilliantly and scored with one hand.

He was astounded by the catch, and all of his teammates gathered around him to pat him on the back as Alzarri Joseph walked back to the pavilion. Pretoria Capitals managed to pick up the opposition’s ninth wicket thanks to the blinder, and Super Kings’ innings quickly came crashing down as they could only play 15.4 overs before being bundled out.

Jimmy Neesham with his one-handed stunner:

Less than 24 hours after their previous meeting, the two teams met again. The Joburg Super Kings won a thrilling final-over victory over the Capitals on Tuesday, but the Wayne Parnell-led side worked hard to correct their mistakes and put on a show at home. The Super Kings could only manage 122 runs after coming out to bat first.

Faf du Plessis looked in great form, scoring a brilliant half-century despite losing two wickets in the powerplay. However, that was the highlight of the Super Kings’ inning. Nortje and Neesham each took three wickets, Adil Rashid made a couple of breakthroughs, and Eathan Bosch and Migael Pretorius each took one. Wickets continued to fall at regular intervals, forcing the Super Kings to declare their innings at 122/10 in 15.4 overs.
