[WATCH]- “Jin Logo Ne Mujhe 2 Over Ke Baad Gaali Di” — India Star’s Funny Take On IND Vs NZ 5th T20I

Team India pacer Arshdeep Singh had a humorous response to his performance in the fifth T20I against New Zealand on Saturday, January 31, in Thiruvananthapuram. In a clip shared on social media, the left-arm swing bowler playfully addressed critics who had slammed him after his initial two overs.

Arshdeep, who is known for making early breakthroughs with the new ball, claimed his first T20I five-wicket haul in the match. Despite conceding 17 runs in his first over, he quickly dismissed Tim Seifert and gave away 40 runs in his first two overs.

However, he bounced back brilliantly, allowing just 11 runs in his final two overs to complete a five-wicket haul, helping India seal a commanding win. In the video, Arshdeep is seen jokingly telling a teammate:

“Apne doston ko keh diyo jinhone mujhe 2 over ke baad gaali di hai. (Just tell your friends who berated my performance only after my two overs).”

A teammate interrupted him, saying:

“Woh 2 over ke baad match dekhne aaye they. (They came to watch the game after two overs).”

The left-arm pacer became the sixth Indian to claim a five-wicket haul in T20Is, joining the ranks of Varun Chakravarthy, Kuldeep Yadav, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Deepak Chahar, and Yuzvendra Chahal. Even though Finn Allen scored a blazing 80, India defended a total of 271 to win comfortably by 46 runs, clinching the series 4-1 against the Asian Giants.

Arshdeep Singh Shines As India Lift T20 World Cup 2024

Since making his T20I debut in 2022, Arshdeep Singh has risen rapidly in international cricket. He was instrumental in India’s T20 World Cup triumph in 2024, finishing the tournament as the second-highest wicket-taker with 17 wickets from eight matches at an average of 12.64.

The 26-year-old also delivered a match-turning performance in the final against South Africa in Barbados, bowling the crucial 19th over for just four runs, helping India secure the win. Fans and experts alike will be looking for Arshdeep to produce similarly decisive performances in the 2026 edition.
