Kagiso Rabada’s brilliant run-out of Fazalhaq Farooqi forced a Super Over in the T20 World Cup 2026 clash between South Africa and Afghanistan in Ahmedabad on Wednesday, February 11. With two runs needed off the final three balls, Noor Ahmad went for a quick couple, but the non-striker couldn’t make it back in time.
Afghanistan were thus all out for 187 in a dramatic final over. Rabada started with a no-ball, followed by Noor Ahmad being caught by captain Aiden Markram, which was overturned due to the no-ball. The speedster then bowled a wide, before Ahmad smashed a six off the second legal delivery.
On the fourth ball, Ahmad ran two, but it too was a no-ball. On the last delivery, Rabada pitched a fuller-length ball on middle; Ahmad drove it past Marco Jansen at long-off, but Farooqi was too slow to complete the run.
Jansen quickly threw the ball to Rabada, who collected it and broke the stumps in a flash, completing a sensational run-out. You can watch the video here:
