[Watch] Kane Williamson’s Bizzare Run-Out Due To Mid-Pitch Collision

New Zealand batter Kane Williamson was in disbelief as he was dismissed run-out following a mid-pitch collision during the first Test against Australia on Friday at the Basin Reserve in Wellington. He had to walk back to the pavilion for a duck in the innings.

The incident took place in the sixth over of the New Zealand innings. Kane Williamson was looking to get off the mark against Mitchell Starc. The pacer bowled a full inswing delivery, which Williamson hit towards mid-off and set off for a tight single.

Will Young, who was at the other end was caught ball-watching. He got too late to react, and then the two batters ran into each other mid-pitch. Marnus Labuschange was quick to collect the ball and pulled off a direct hit at the non-striker’s end. Williamson was in disbelief as he walked back to the hut for a duck.
