Nicholas Pooran appeared frustrated after facing a couple of short deliveries from Krunal Pandya during the IPL 2026 match between Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Lucknow on Thursday, May 7. The incident occurred in the 10th over of the innings.

Pooran came to the crease after Krunal removed Arshin Kulkarni on the second ball of the over. The RCB spinner greeted the left-hander with back-to-back bouncers. Pooran let the first one go before nudging the second towards long-on for a single.

After the run was completed, Krunal appeared to exchange a few words with the batter. Pooran then walked towards Krunal, resulting in a tense on-field conversation between the two players. Watch the video here:

Nicholas Pooran faced criticism over his form after a series of underwhelming performances in IPL 2026, but he responded strongly with a blistering 63 off 21 balls against Mumbai Indians earlier this week, despite Lucknow Super Giants suffering a six-wicket defeat.

Promoted to No. 3 in the batting order, Pooran made the most of the opportunity. The wicketkeeper-batter followed it up with a useful 38-run innings off 23 deliveries against Royal Challengers Bengaluru and shared an important 70-run partnership for the second wicket alongside Mitchell Marsh.

Krunal Pandya Delivers Disciplined Spell Against LSG in IPL 2026 Clash

Krunal Pandya delivered an effective spell with the ball against Lucknow Super Giants, claiming one wicket while giving away only 31 runs in his four overs at an economy rate of 7.80. LSG opener Mitchell Marsh starred with the bat after the team was asked to bat first.

The Australian all-rounder smashed the fastest century by a Lucknow batter, reaching the milestone in just 49 deliveries before ending with a brilliant 111 off 56 balls. Lucknow posted 209/3 in 19 overs, with Rishabh Pant remaining unbeaten on 32 off 10 balls and Aiden Markram finishing not out on 1.

Due to rain, the contest was shortened to 19 overs a side, and Royal Challengers Bengaluru were set a revised target of 213 under the DLS method.
