Team India bowler Kuldeep Yadav displayed his bowling brilliance during the third ODI against Australia on Wednesday, March 22 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. He played a key role for the hosts with the ball, picking up three wickets in the match. The spinner left Alex Carey stunned, as he dismissed him with absolute beauty.

In the thirty-ninth over, Kuldeep Yadav bowled a length delivery pitching around the leg stump. Alex Carey tried to defend it with an open-faced bat. However, the delivery turned away sharply, beating the outside edge of Carey’s bat and rattling the stumps. The Australia wicket-keeper batter was left shocked, getting bowled for 38 runs off 46 deliveries. He slammed two boundaries and a six during the innings.

Earlier in the innings, Kuldeep Yadav dismissed David Warner and Marnus Labuschagne. Warner came down the track to hit Kuldeep over mid-wicket, but the ball took the leading edge and was caught by Hardik Pandya. He managed 23 runs off 31 deliveries. Meanwhile, Marnus Labuschagne also tried to loft a delivery, but couldn’t hit it well enough. He was caught by Shubman Gill in the deep for 28 runs.

Australia ends the first innings at 269 against India in the third ODI

After opting to bat first, Australia managed to put on 269 runs before getting bowled out in the first innings. Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh got them off to a good start scoring 61 runs in the first ten overs. However, after their dismissal, Australia couldn’t capitalize well. Several batters got the starts, but couldn’t convert them into a big score.

India bowlers put up a complete team effort. Kuldeep Yadav and Hardik Pandya picked up three wickets each. Meanwhile, Mohammed Siraj and Axar Patel took two scalps each. India will have to chase down 270 to win the three-match ODI series.
