On the second day of the test match at Edgbaston, Bairstow looked clueless against Indian bowlers. He was continuously beaten by the pace of Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Shami. Virat tried to sledge Bairstow and said: “Little Bit Faster Than Southee, Eh?”.

Bairstow got beaten on several deliveries of Bumrah and Shami. Virat tried to pull the legs of Bairstow by reminding him that Indian bowlers won’t give him medium pace of Southee.

Bairstow put up a strong fightback against Indian team at Edgbaston

Jonny Bairstow has continued his great form in the test match against India too at Edgbaston. At the end of first session on Day 3 , Bairstow was batting on a score of 91 runs in 113 balls. He has hit 12 fours and 2 sixes in the innings. Indian bowlers failed to create pressure on Bairstow.

In the first 60 balls , Bairstow played defensively, but soon he caught the rhythm and smashed Indian bowlers around the park. Earlier, England lost their first 5 wickets within a score of 83 runs. Bumrah picked up the wickets of the top order of England. Stokes scored 25 runs and supported Bairstow really well. But Shardul Thakur soon ended the innings of Stokes.
