Essex and Lancashire faced each other in the 3rd Quarter Final on Friday. The match was played at Manchester. T20 Blast cricket tournament is full of action with several mind-blowing catches being taken. A similar scene was witnessed in the 3rd quarter final between Essex and Lancashire.

Essex player Michael Pepper displayed an amazing example of presence of mind and athletic fielding against Lancashire in the quarterfinal. On the 5th ball of the 9th over of the run chase, Philip Salt played a slog sweep on the bowling of Matthew Critchley. Salt timed it beautifully but couldn’t cross Pepper.

Pepper timed his jump brilliantly in the air. He brought the hands at the right time. But soon he started losing the balance and at one time it looked like his leg would touch boundary ropes. But Pepper threw the ball inside the boundary line at the right time with both his legs in the air. At the end, Ben Allison caught the ball who was standing in the right position.

Lancashire reach Semifinal of T20 Blast 2022

Philip Salt played an innings of 27 runs in 21 balls in the run chase. He hit 3 boundaries in his innings while chasing the target. Lancashire successfully chased down the target of 162 runs set by Essex. Steven Croft played a crucial role in the run chase for Lancashire.

Croft played a brilliant knock of 76 runs in 48 balls in a pressure situation when Lancashire lost their first wicket in first over itself. Dane Vilas too scored 51 runs in 23 balls and brought down the required run rate. At the end, Lancashire comfortably won by 7 wickets.
