Mohammad Kaif was one of the best fielders in world cricket during his time. He once again showcased his fielding brilliance during the Eliminator against Asia Lions in the Legends Premier League on Saturday, March 18 at the West End Park International Cricket Stadium, Doha. The 42-year-old turned the clock back as he pulled off a stunning one-handed catch to dismiss Upul Tharanga.

The Asia Lions won the toss and opted to bat first. Upul Tharanga and T Dilshan got them off to a flying start, scoring 79 runs in the first eight overs. Pragyan Ojha was brought on to bowl the ninth over. On the fifth delivery, Upul Tharanga made room to hit Pragyan Ojha through the cover region for a boundary. However, Mohammad Kaif put in a running dive to pull off a breathtaking catch.

In another stunning fielding effort, Mohammad Kaif dismissed Mohammed Hafeez in the innings. Hafeez attempted to go for a big shot against Pravin Tamble in the 16th over. The ball went towards Mohammad Kaif at long-on. Kaif dived forward to complete another fantastic catch. He finished the innings with three catches.
