Out of cricket for almost eight months now, former India skipper MS Dhoni has kept himself busy with several things. Recently, the legendary cricketer turned into a farmer as he started organic farming of watermelon which will be followed by papaya after 20 days. 

Since Dhoni took a sabbatical after India’s ouster from the ICC World Cup 2019 losing to New Zealand in the semifinal, he has done several things to keep himself occupied. He served the Indian army for two weeks in his regiment n August. He also played an amateur golf tournament in the USA and took part in a charity football match.

Furthermore, MS Dhoni also has trained for a day or two with the age group Jharkhand side, he is yet to resume full training ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Most recently, he was seen singing songs with his friends in a bathroom before making panipuris for his former teammate RP Singh during their holidays in the Maldives. 

Recently, the cricketer from Jharkhand was seen turning into a farmer as he shared a video of him doing organic farming in Ranchi. In the video, shared on his official Facebook account, Dhoni is seen sowing watermelon seeds and completing few rituals.  

“Start of organic farming of watermelon in Ranchi followed by papaya in 20 days time. first time so very excited,” Dhoni captioned the video.

Meanwhile, it is anticipated that MS Dhoni will resume training from March 2 (Tuesday) for the upcoming Indian Premier League. It is likely that his return to the Indian side for the ICC T20 World Cup will depend on how he fares in the upcoming cash-rich league. His teammates Ambati Rayudu and Suresh Raina will join Dhoni in the training at the M Chidambaram Stadium. 

Chennai Super Kings will lock horns with defending champions Mumbai Indians in the tournament opener on March 29 at the Wankhede Stadium.
