[WATCH]- PBKS Star Amuses Fans By Practising Off-Spin In Nets Before IPL 2025 Clash vs KKR

Punjab Kings (PBKS) leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal was amusingly spotted practicing off-spin during a training session ahead of their IPL 2025 clash with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), set to take place on Saturday, April 26, at Eden Gardens. In a video shared by PBKS, Chahal could be seen delivering off-spin with a short run-up.

One of the costliest buys in the IPL 2025 auction, the 35-year-old was picked up by PBKS for ₹18 crore. While he had a slow start to the season, Chahal delivered a brilliant spell against KKR in Mullanpur on April 15, helping his side defend a modest total of 111.

In a video posted on social media, Yuzvendra Chahal was seen playfully teasing the batter after a shot, saying:

“Ghar mein khel raha hai? Cover pe out ho gaya. Cover ke haath mein.” (Are you playing at home. You got out to cover by chipping the ball to the cover fielder.)

The Haryana-born cricketer had a tough outing in PBKS’s recent seven-wicket loss to Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in Mullanpur. While he did manage to dismiss RCB captain Rajat Patidar, the experienced spinner ended with figures of 4-0-36-1.

Kolkata Knight Riders’ IPL campaign is at risk as they take on PBKS

Despite PBKS being in a tricky fifth position after suffering three losses, their opponents, the defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders, are facing a jeopardized IPL 2025 campaign. The Knight Riders have already lost five of their eight matches and must secure a win in Kolkata to keep their playoff hopes alive.

The tough loss against PBKS in Mullanpur, where they failed to chase down a modest 111, may still be lingering in their minds as they play at Eden Gardens. Additionally, the Knight Riders have lost three home games this season, including their recent defeat to Gujarat Titans.

In that match, they fell short of chasing 199, managing only 159/8 in their 20 overs. Ajinkya Rahane was the lone bright spot, crossing fifty in that encounter.
